When you register as a Buyer or Seller on our platform, we collect the personal information you provide in your user profile. This includes your name, email address, and billing/shipping information.

3. Comments & Media

Comments: When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist in spam detection.

Media: If you are a Seller uploading shoe images, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Buyers can download and extract location data from images on the site.
4. Cookies

Account Access: If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Login Persistence: When you log in, we set up cookies to save your login info and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login persists for two weeks.

Vendor Activity: If a Seller edits or publishes a product listing, an additional cookie is saved to indicate the post ID of the listing edited. This expires after 1 day.
5. Embedded Content & Third-Party Sharing

External Content: Listings may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images). This content behaves as if the visitor has visited the other website, which may collect data or use cookies.

Data Sharing: We do not sell your personal data. However, if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Customer data may also be shared with integrated payment processors (like Paystack) and shipping providers to complete orders.

User Profiles: For users that register as Buyers or Sellers, we store the personal information provided in their user profile indefinitely. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).

Comments: Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely for automated approval of follow-up comments.
7. Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account (Buyer or Seller) or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data. This does not include data we are legally or administratively obligated to keep for tax, legal, or security purposes.
8. Where Your Data is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Transactional data is sent to our payment gateway to process secure payments.
