Welcome to ShoeSwap. By accessing or using our website (http://shoeswapco.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. The Marketplace Platform

ShoeSwap provides a platform for Buyers and Sellers to list, sell, and swap footwear. ShoeSwap is a facilitator and is not a party to the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. We do not take physical possession of the items listed.

2. User Accounts

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information during registration.
Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Seller Obligations & Product Listings

By listing a product, Sellers agree to the following:

Authenticity: All shoes must be 100% authentic. The sale of replicas, “UA” (Unauthorized Authentic), or counterfeit goods is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban.
Accurate Description: You must accurately select the shoe category (A, B, or C) and provide a truthful Fit Note.
Media: You must upload a minimum of 4 clear photos (Front, Side, Heel, and Sole).
Availability: You must ensure that the listed item is in your possession and available for immediate shipment.

4. Fees and Commissions

Admin Commission: ShoeSwap charges a commission fee on every successful sale (refer to your Seller Dashboard for current rates). This fee is automatically deducted from the final sale price.
Payouts: Seller funds are held until the Buyer confirms receipt or the standard inspection period expires. Withdrawals are processed via the methods specified in the Seller Dashboard (e.g., Paystack/Bank Transfer).

5. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Responsibility: Sellers are responsible for packing and shipping the item to the Buyer within 48 hours of a confirmed sale.
Tracking: Sellers must provide valid tracking information through the ShoeSwap dashboard.
Risk of Loss: The risk of loss passes to the Buyer upon delivery of the item by the carrier.

6. Returns and Disputes

All Sales are Final: Given the nature of used footwear, all sales are final unless the item is materially misrepresented (e.g., wrong size, incorrect condition category, or inauthenticity).
Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute, ShoeSwap reserves the right to mediate. Our decision in such matters is final.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

Circumvent the ShoeSwap payment system to avoid fees.
Harass other users or post offensive content.
Use the platform for any illegal activity or money laundering.

8. Limitation of Liability

ShoeSwap is provided “as is.” We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or disputes between Buyers and Sellers.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
